LPN/LVN Contract — Long Term Care (11-week) | Albuquerque, NM

Join our team in Albuquerque, NM as a Licensed Practical Nurse for an 11-week contract (non-travel). Start ASAP. Schedule: Sun, Fri, Sat, 06:00 AM–06:30 PM. Local rate: $914 per 36 hours.

Required:

• Current, active LPN license for the state of New Mexico
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct bedside nursing under RN/physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Perform focused patient assessments—physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews—to support individualized care plans.
• Accurately administer medications and treatments, document dosing, and follow facility protocols.
• Manage wound care: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
• Collect and prepare specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
• Maintain precise patient records, chart condition changes, interventions, and responses to care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Support patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility assistance, pain management, and basic nursing interventions.
• Respond to emergencies, provide basic life support, and follow established emergency protocols.
• Adhere to infection control practices and safe handling/disposal of medications and supplies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care.
• May supervise CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain best practices.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
