Contract opportunity in Oshkosh, WI for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Start date: ASAP. Duration: 26 weeks. Schedule: 07:30 AM–06:00 PM. Rate: $48.20/hr.

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin LPC license.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Experience in correctional, clinical, or community mental health settings preferred.
• Strong crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and risk-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment and collaborate with custody staff.
• Excellent oral/written communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mental health assessments, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations for inmates.
• Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based modalities.
• Create, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans.
• Respond to mental health crises, conduct suicide risk assessments, and provide crisis stabilization.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, psychiatric, and security personnel.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with Wisconsin DOC standards.
• Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and program development efforts.
• Provide psychoeducation on coping skills, behavior management, and rehabilitation.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines, confidentiality requirements, and facility safety protocols.
