PACU RN (Travel) — 13-Week Contract in Hilo, HI | ICU/ER-Experienced, BLS/ACLS Required

Join a contract travel assignment in Hilo, HI starting Aug 24, 2026 for 13 weeks. We seek an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide skilled perioperative care in Phase I and II recovery. Shift: to be determined.

Qualifications

• Active professional RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience; 2+ years of critical care experience (ER/ICU) may substitute for prior PACU experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS, AHA) recommended and may be required for some assignments
• Additional specialty certifications (e.g., NIHSS, TNCC) preferred and may be required for specific roles

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based care for patients pre-operatively and in Phase I and II post-anesthesia recovery
• Monitor and assess patient status, including airway, breathing, circulation, incision sites, temperature, and other indicators of stability or complications
• Apply advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and critical-care principles to intervene promptly when needed
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care and facilitate safe transitions
