Summary:
ICU (Level II trauma NT/SICU) 12-bed unit; 2:1 staffing ratio. Unit specializes in neuro/trauma patients requiring management of ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains. May float to Cardiovascular Unit, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/CCU, or Med-Surg as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Current CA RN license
• Minimum 5 years acute critical care experience (5+ years total)
• Level II trauma critical care experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Previous travel nurse experience

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct critical care nursing for neuro/trauma patients (including management of ICP monitors, CRRT, lumbar drains)
• Maintain 2:1 patient care ratio per unit staffing expectations
• Float to assigned units (CV, telemetry, ICU/CCU, Med-Surg) as operational needs dictate
• Document care in EPIC and comply with unit protocols and trauma/critical care standards

Certifications/Compliance:

• Maintain required licensure and certifications for duration of contract
• Adhere to hospital policies for trauma and critical care patient populations
