Community hospital Emergency Department in Sebring, FL seeking locum Emergency Medicine physician for ongoing coverage. Balanced schedule with strong APP support. MEDHOST EMR.

Assignment details

• Coverage model: Single-physician shifts (7a–7p, 7p–7a)
• APP coverage: 8 hours/day (off season); 10 hours/day (peak season)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Stabilize critically ill/injured patients and coordinate admissions or transfers
• Supervise and provide leadership for APPs and ED staff during shifts
• Collaborate with nursing staff and hospitalists to maintain efficient patient flow
• Accurately document patient encounters in MEDHOST EMR

Requirements

• ABEM or AOBEM board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
• Prefer 2+ years recent ED experience
