Locums Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Arizona (Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale, Tucson)

Locations: Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale, Tucson, Arizona.

Assignment overview:

• Locum fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon covering a high-acuity, hospital-based trauma center within a physician-led organization.
• Collaborative environment with an experienced orthopedic trauma team and strong clinical infrastructure.
• Blocked 24-hour shifts with 7-day stretches (flexible scheduling available) and built-in recovery time between rotations.
• Mixed responsibilities: operating room, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic.
• Work alongside an additional orthopedic trauma surgeon within a dedicated orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery coverage model.

Schedule:

• 24-hour shifts
• Typical blocks of 7 consecutive days (flexible)
• Recovery time provided between rotation blocks

Clinical responsibilities:

• Operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
• Participate in high-volume trauma call coverage
• Manage complex fracture care, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
• Coordinate care with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
• Balance surgical cases, inpatient management, and outpatient follow-up
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship
• Experience in high-acuity trauma care required
• Prefer strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management
• Active Arizona medical license or willingness to obtain
