Part-Time Medical Director / Attending Physician — Hospitalist (Skilled Nursing Facilities, IL)

Provide medical direction and attend to patients at local skilled nursing facilities in Cahokia, IL. Partner with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care and provide clinical oversight at assigned sites.

Key details

• Part-time: typically cover each facility 1–2 days per week
• No fixed daily start/end times; flexible schedule
• No call, no overnight shifts
• Typical patient load: 18–25 visits per day
• Company-provided iPad with LTE for documentation
• New graduates who are board-eligible and pursuing licensure encouraged to apply

Primary responsibilities

• Admit, evaluate, and manage post-acute and long-term care patients
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for care teams in assigned facilities
• Collaborate with NPs, PAs, nursing staff, and facility leadership
• Document care efficiently and coordinate transitions of care
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance activities as required

Requirements

• MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
