Job Description

Provide clinical leadership and attend to patients at local skilled nursing facilities in Aledo, IL. This part-time role partners with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care and oversight across assigned post-acute and long-term care sites.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as attending physician for residents in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Collaborate with NPs/PAs on care plans, admissions, discharges, and transitions.
  • Perform daily visits, medical assessments, and treatment planning for 18–25 patients per day.
  • Provide clinical oversight, documentation, and coordination with facility staff and families.
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives as needed.

Schedule and work model

  • Part-time; physicians typically cover each facility 1–2 days per week.
  • No fixed start/end times, no call, and no overnight shifts.
  • Flexible schedule to support work–life balance.
  • Company-provided iPad with LTE for documentation.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • New graduates who are board-eligible and actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply.
