Overview
Full-time Trauma/Acute Care Surgery (ACS) position to join and help grow a developing Trauma/ACS surgical program. The role uses a unique 26-weeks-per-year block schedule that supports work-life balance while delivering comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services.

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary: $435,000 annually
• Annual clinical weeks: 26
• Preferred block schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (longer or shorter blocks may be considered)
• No advanced practice provider (APP) support initially

Clinical Volume and Duties

• Provide surgical consultation and operative management for trauma and acute-care patients
• Work alongside an initial team of two surgeons to establish and expand the program
• Average daily consults: ~1-2
• Average operations: ~1 per day (projected annual operations: ~359; projected annual consults: ~492)
• Emergency Department annual volume: ~39,680 visits
• Volume expected to increase

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery or a related surgical specialty
• Experience managing acute care and trauma surgical patients
• Comfortable providing independent surgical consultation and operative care
• Ability to work effectively in a developing surgical program and collaborate with colleagues
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Willingness to participate in a flexible block schedule
