Medical Director / Attending Physician - Hospitalist (Skilled Nursing Facilities)

Join a collaborative team delivering high-quality care to post-acute and long-term care patients across skilled nursing facilities in Andover, Massachusetts. This full-time Medical Director/Attending Physician role provides clinical leadership, close collaboration with experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, and meaningful impact on patient outcomes in a supportive, team-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and medical oversight within assigned skilled nursing facilities.
• Partner with NPs and PAs to coordinate comprehensive, patient-centered care plans.
• Serve as clinical leader for assigned facilities, supporting staff education and quality initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in performance and compliance activities.

Schedule and practice model

• Full-time with flexible scheduling: physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week.
• No set daily start/end times, no overnight shifts, and no on-call responsibilities.
• Typical patient volume: 18-25 visits per day.
• Company-provided iPad with LTE for efficient documentation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine.
