Part-Time Medical Director / Attending Physician - Hospitalist (Skilled Nursing Facilities)

Provide medical direction and attend to patients across local skilled nursing facilities in Cottonwood Falls, KS. Partner with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to deliver patient-centered care and provide clinical oversight at assigned facilities.

Location

• Cottonwood Falls, Kansas
• Additional opportunities available nationwide in: GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MO, NC, OH, TN, WI

Schedule & Clinical Volume

• Part-time; physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week
• No fixed start/end times, no call, no overnight shifts
• Approximately 18-25 visits per day
• Flexible schedule; new graduates who are board-eligible and pursuing licensure encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to post-acute and long-term care residents
• Oversee clinical care provided by NPs/PAs and collaborate on care plans
• Conduct evaluations, document encounters, manage acute and chronic conditions, and coordinate transitions of care
• Participate in facility meetings and quality improvement efforts as needed
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation using company-provided iPad with LTE

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
