Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Boston Back Bay, MA

Location: Boston Back Bay, MA
Schedule: Centers open 7 days/week (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-8:00 PM; Sat-Sun 8:00 AM-5:00 PM). Full-time (36 hours/week) and part-time openings. Competitive benefits.

Summary:
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for urgent care. The clinician will evaluate and treat patients, support and direct clinical staff, and report to the Center Administrator and Lead Physician.

Required qualifications:

• Active NP or PA license (MA)
• Urgent care experience required
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA
• Strong verbal communication and patient-interaction skills
• Team player, adaptable, able to multi-task and work independently

Primary responsibilities:

• Triage newly registered patients and direct them to appropriate exam rooms
• Set up and ensure exam rooms match patient complaints; ensure room cleaning after each encounter
• Evaluate and treat urgent care patients, including wound care and performing ECGs when indicated
• Collect biological specimens and perform point-of-care testing as requested
• Assist supervising physician with patient care as needed
• Sterilize and maintain medical instruments; support laboratory operations (run controls, proficiency testing, troubleshoot instruments)
• Coordinate with center administrator to monitor and order medical supplies
• Work with nursing staff to manage patient callbacks and satisfaction follow-up
• Participate in interviewing and scheduling clinical staff to ensure coverage during hours of operation
• Ensure clinic compliance with medical protocols and assist Medical Director as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned
