Breast Surgery Physician Assistant opening in Boston, MA
Full-Time | Breast Surgery | Clinic, OR & Inpatient Care | Day Schedule
An academic medical center in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Breast Surgery team and provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment of breast conditions.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time Breast Surgery PA opportunity
- Day-shift position
- Provide care throughout the surgical patient journey
- Evaluate and manage patients in the ambulatory clinic
- Assist Breast Surgeons in the operating room
- Provide care for hospitalized surgical patients
- Perform histories and physical examinations
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
- Coordinate medical, surgical, and supportive care
- Provide patient and family education
- Collaborate with Breast Surgeons, fellows, residents, APPs, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Coordinate care with visiting nurses, clinical staff, and consulting services
- Serve as a clinical resource and educator for staff
- Participate in seminars, conferences, and clinical education
- Some off-hours coverage may be required
- Weekend responsibilities may be required
- On-call participation may be required based on departmental needs
- Academic medical center environment
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: **$133,120 – $230,000**
- Additional benefits and recruitment details to be discussed during the interview process
Candidate Requirements:
- Physician Assistant
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Massachusetts Physician Assistant license
- Massachusetts DPH Drug Control registration
- Valid Massachusetts prescriptive authority
- Federal DEA registration
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- 0-1 years of related experience required
- 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, care coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and multidisciplinary clinical teams
