Regional Medical Director, Primary Care - Hybrid Leadership Role in Boston (Board-Certified, $270-320k+)

We are seeking a mid-career, Board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to serve as Regional Medical Director overseeing multiple outpatient primary care sites in the Boston, MA area. This hybrid corporate/clinical leadership role combines strategic oversight with direct patient care: roughly three days per week devoted to administrative and programmatic responsibilities and one to two days per week providing clinical care at a local practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for several primary care sites, promoting high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Develop and implement clinical programs and protocols to support value-based care objectives and performance targets.
• Mentor and support clinicians and site leaders; drive care coordination, quality improvement, and population health initiatives.
• Partner with organizational leaders to establish strategy, measure outcomes, and align resources across the region.
• Maintain an active clinical practice to stay connected to frontline care and inform operational decisions.

Compensation & benefits

• Base compensation range: $270,000-$320,000+ (depending on incentives)

Required qualifications (non-negotiable)

• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active primary care clinical experience
• Proven experience in clinical leadership roles
• Background and demonstrated success in value-based care models

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in startup or early-stage healthcare organizations
• Prior remote/hybrid leadership experience
• Geriatrics experience
• Spanish language proficiency
