Primary Care Medical Director (70% Clinic) - Lead Clinical Strategy & Quality in Northampton/Amherst, MA

Join our team in Northampton and Amherst, MA as a clinical leader providing direct patient care (70%) and administrative oversight (30%) across primary care practices. You will ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting providers, streamlining operations, and advancing continuous improvement and population health efforts.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership for standards, quality, and patient safety
• Mentor, evaluate, and support provider performance and development
• Oversee regulatory compliance, risk management, and service recovery
• Optimize care delivery through workflow, staffing, and practice design improvements
• Lead population health, value-based care, and payer program initiatives
• Leverage EHRs and data to drive outcomes, efficiency, and reporting
• Enhance patient experience and address service issues

Compensation & benefits:

• Salary $250,000-$300,000 (DOE)

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with an active Massachusetts license or willingness to obtain one
• Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• 2-5 years of outpatient primary care experience
• Prior medical director or lead physician experience with proven clinical leadership
• Strong communication skills and experience in performance improvement
• Background in population health, payer programs, or practice transformation
• Training or experience in leadership, quality improvement, or informatics preferred
