Primary Care Medical Director (70% Clinical) - Lead Physician in Northampton/Dalton, MA; $250-300K + Bonus

We’re looking for a hands-on physician leader to provide clinical direction and support across our primary care practices in Northampton and Dalton, MA. You’ll balance an active patient panel (about 70% clinical time) with administrative leadership (about 30%), helping ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting providers, improving operations, and driving ongoing practice improvement.

What you’ll do

• Set and champion clinical standards, quality, and patient safety across both sites.
• Mentor, evaluate, and support physicians and advanced practice clinicians to help them grow and succeed.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and risk management activities.
• Streamline workflows, staffing models, and care delivery to improve efficiency and clinician satisfaction.
• Lead population health and value-based care initiatives in partnership with care teams and payers.
• Use EHR tools and data analytics to monitor performance and guide improvements.
• Improve the patient experience and lead service-recovery efforts when issues arise.

• Salary range: $250,000-$300,000 plus potential bonuses

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO with an active Massachusetts license or willingness to obtain one
• Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• 2-5 years of outpatient primary care experience
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and strong communication skills
• Prior experience as a Medical Director or Lead Physician preferred
• Experience with population health, payer programs, or practice transformation
• Training or experience in leadership, quality improvement, or informatics is a plus
