Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon - Fly-In Shift Coverage (Arizona)

We’re looking for a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon to work in a hospital-based environment across Arizona, with opportunities in Tucson, Phoenix, Glendale, and Scottsdale. Our model emphasizes predictable schedules, robust clinical support, and collaborative teamwork.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide both operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients.
• Participate in trauma call coverage at a Level II Trauma Center.
• Manage a wide range of fractures and orthopedic injuries.
• Work closely with trauma surgery, emergency medicine, hospitalist, and rehabilitation teams to coordinate care.
• Balance surgical cases, inpatient management, and follow-up clinic responsibilities.
• Maintain timely documentation and a strong focus on high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

Schedule highlights

• 183 total 24-hour shifts annually.
• Blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches for predictable coverage.
• Built-in recovery time between rotations to support work-life balance.

Who we’re looking for

• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship completion preferred.
• Experience managing trauma patients in a hospital-based setting.
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure and able to obtain/maintain hospital privileges.
