Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (C-OTA) — 14-Week Contract in Santa Clara, CA

We’re looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a contract/travel assignment in Santa Clara, CA. This role starts ASAP and runs for 14 weeks, Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is $1,505 per week for travel assignments (35 hours) or $1,484 per week for local hires (35 hours).

What you’ll need

• A valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.

What you’ll be doing

• Work alongside the Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and identify physical and functional limitations.
• Help develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
• Lead and carry out therapeutic interventions and activities that improve motor skills, mobility, and independence with daily tasks.
• Teach patients how to use assistive devices and adaptive equipment safely and effectively.
• Document patient progress, treatments, and any changes in condition accurately and promptly.
• Coach patients and their families on at-home exercises and strategies to support recovery.
• Communicate regularly with the Occupational Therapist and the rest of the care team to ensure coordinated treatment.
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to help patients stay motivated toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
