Location: Boston—Back Bay, MA

Overview
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for urgent care. Provider will evaluate and treat patients, direct clinical staff, and report to the Center Administrator and Lead Physician. Full-time and part-time openings available (typical full-time = 36 hours/week). Competitive benefits.

Hours
Center hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–8:00 PM; Saturday–Sunday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Schedules include weekday and weekend coverage; staffing arranged to ensure full hours of operation.

Required Qualifications

  • Active NP or PA license (MA)
  • Some urgent care experience required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations
  • Strong verbal communication and patient-interaction skills; team-oriented and able to work independently and multitask

Core Responsibilities

  • Triage newly registered patients and prioritize care
  • Assign patients to appropriate exam rooms and ensure rooms are prepared for presenting complaints
  • Evaluate and treat patients within urgent care scope of practice; perform wound care and other indicated procedures
  • Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing; run and troubleshoot basic lab controls as needed
  • Perform electrocardiograms when indicated
  • Supervise cleaning and sterilization of exam rooms and medical instruments after use
  • Work with nursing staff on patient callbacks and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care
  • Coordinate with Center Administrator to monitor and order medical supplies
  • Assist the physician and medical director as requested; ensure clinical staff adherence to medical protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in staffing/scheduling to maintain coverage across hours of operation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
