Lead Primary Care Physician - Clinical Lead (Family Medicine) in Atlanta | Patient Care + Leadership, $300K+

Join a growing healthcare team in Atlanta, Georgia where you’ll blend hands-on patient care with meaningful physician leadership. This role lets you stay active in clinic - about 70-80% clinical time - while spending the remainder mentoring providers, shaping clinical practice, and working closely with operations to improve care delivery across sites.

What you’ll do

• Provide high-quality primary care while maintaining an active patient panel.
• Serve as a physician leader and mentor for providers, supporting clinical excellence and professional development.
• Collaborate with Practice Managers and operational teams to implement workflows, onboarding, and quality initiatives across multiple ambulatory sites.
• Lead or contribute to clinical protocol development, documentation review, and performance improvement efforts.
• Support provider readiness, compliance, and effective use of EHRs and quality reporting tools.

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO with a current, unrestricted Georgia medical license and active DEA registration.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (preferred) or a related primary care specialty.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in primary care, family medicine, pediatrics, urgent care, or a comparable ambulatory setting.
• Prior experience in a physician leadership role such as Clinical Lead or Associate Medical Director is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop providers; experience with onboarding and peer education.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, with experience collaborating in multi-site ambulatory environments.
• Familiarity with clinical protocols, scope-of-practice guidance, ambulatory compliance, and provider readiness.
• Background in quality improvement, clinical documentation review, and protocol development.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and quality/performance reporting.
• Experience mentoring or onboarding Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
