Locums Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon - Scottsdale, AZ

Join a physician-led team in Scottsdale, AZ that’s focused on building and supporting high-performing surgical teams nationwide. We prioritize predictable schedules, strong clinical support, and letting surgeons concentrate on excellent patient care in a hospital-based setting.

You’ll support a Level II Trauma Center and work alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a collaborative, well-supported environment. The practice offers a balanced mix of operative and non-operative trauma care with a clear commitment to quality outcomes and patient-centered treatment.

Schedule
You’ll cover 24-hour shifts with 183 shifts per year. Scheduling is blocked into 7-day stretches and includes built-in recovery time between rotations to help maintain work-life balance.

What you’ll do

• Provide both operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
• Participate in trauma call coverage
• Manage a wide range of fractures and orthopedic injuries
• Collaborate closely with trauma surgery, emergency medicine, hospitalist, and rehabilitation teams
• Balance surgical cases, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic responsibilities
• Keep documentation timely and maintain high standards of patient care

Who we’re looking for

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship completion preferred
• Experience managing orthopedic trauma patients in a hospital-based setting
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure and able to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
