Medical Director / Attending Physician - Hospitalist (Skilled Nursing Facilities)

This full-time role provides clinical leadership and direct patient care for post-acute and long-term care residents while partnering with experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. The practice emphasizes patient-centered medicine, flexible scheduling, and a supportive work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attending physician services and medical direction at assigned skilled nursing facilities
• Oversee and collaborate with NPs/PAs to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
• Conduct 18-25 patient visits per day, including admissions, re-evaluations, and care plan oversight
• Make timely clinical decisions, document care efficiently, and support quality initiatives within facilities

Schedule and practice highlights

• Full-time role with flexible scheduling; physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days per week
• No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, and no on-call responsibilities
• Company-provided iPad with LTE for streamlined documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
